A camera in every pocket

1. I feel that with the popularity of cell phones with high quality cameras, sure the nature of photography may have changed but there is still a distinction between someone who quickly takes a photo with their cell phone and photographers who try and capture moments and create art. With the increasingly improving technology, phone cameras are becoming better and better, which some could say is just increasing the scope of photography from only DSLR cameras to handheld phones as well. However I will say that, I believe phone cameras do take away some of what makes the process and the lengths photographers go through to capture the perfect images.

2. The future of photography will be a continuation of higher resolution lenses and more compact ways to carry them around... whether that will mean holograms or DSLRs the size of a cell phone who can really know?

3. I disagree, just because more photos are being taken doesn't necessarily mean that all those photos are high quality or actually taken of anything that has meaning. Therefore I would say that photography is not dying, it actually if anything I think is growing with the ability to take good quality photos spreading from only DSLRs to phones as well. Professional photographers know what they are doing and people will always need them to take pictures of them that a) they cant take. b) want to be professional quality and c) photos they want to actually mean something to them.
